About the position

The Faculty of Science and Technology invites applicants for a faculty position as associate professor within Sustainable Building physics. The position is full time and permanent.

We are looking for candidates who want to contribute to the transition towards a more sustainable society, where great changes are implied to the building industry in how buildings are built and maintained. The energy system, local energy production, heating, cooling and ventilation as well as use of sustainable building materials is affected by this transition. In a broader scale, the cross disciplinary field between building science, architecture and structural engineering should be important for the successful candidate.

The position is affiliated with the department of Building- and Environmental Technology, which includes the building-group and the Water-group. The Building-group is responsible for the MSc study program “Construction engineering and architecture”.

The program educates approximately 30 MSc students yearly and has a strong interdisciplinary focus, combining construction, building physics and architecture. The group consists of four scientific positions within structural engineering, three positions within energy and building physics, and three positions within architecture. We focus on the interdisciplinary nature of buildings, where the students are trained in a more holistic approach when considering constructional, technical, architectural and environmental solutions.

REALTEK has a policy to prioritize new academic staff, who are currently without PhD main supervision responsibilities, when distributing university funded Ph.D positions.
