What you will do:

Society heavily relies upon the Internet for many purposes including but not limited to global communication, commerce, technology and entertainment. With the increase of the end-users and businesses online presence, so has the importance of data privacy. Consequently, privacy frameworks like General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and national protection laws in countries like Canada, Japan or Singapore have been established in order to define how data should be stored and used. Recent studies have however shown that large-scale measurement datasets can provide insights related to end-user and business relationships. We aim to study how privacy is preserved within and across these datasets, and propose methods for improving privacy. The Postdoctoral fellow will play a critical and active role in shaping the research agenda, and also be responsible for laying the foundations for on-going investigation of privacy-preserving methods.
