About the Green Office

The Green Office is a hub for climate- and environment-oriented activities for students and staff at UiO. We are a group of part-time employees who initiate and run projects and events that aim to make UiO more sustainable. We organise our work into four working groups reflecting UiO's climate and environmental strategy: Education and Research, Dissemination and Dialogue, Organisation and Climate and Green Campus. 

About the position 

Project coordinators are given a 20-30% position. Together with the rest of the team, you are the voice and face of the Green Office, and are expected to plan, implementing and evaluate projects, events and campaigns for both the Education & Research (E&R) group and the Dissemination & Dialogue (D&D). In addition to the general tasks at the Green Office, such as team and group meetings and being a host during our open office, these groups have a special responsibility to: 

 

  • Motivate and support students and student associations to adopt a sustainable student life.
  • Increase collaboration with student associations, through film screenings, lunches, podcast and more. 
  • Increase collaboration and partnership with and between faculties, the Student parliament, to strengthen sustainability in teaching. 
  • Plan and host large events such as our annual theme week and SDG conference.

Qualifications

Previous experience or education related to organizational work or education is an advantage. You must be enrolled in a UiO study program during the employment period and able to commit to at least spring and autumn semester of 2026.

Personal skills

As a Green Office coordinator, you are a team player who supports your colleagues, but you are also able to work independently and take responsibility for the projects you coordinate. You have excellent social skills, but also see the value of strategic planning and documentation of your work.

  • Salary in position as Executive Officer (SKO 1065), is NOK425 000 per year for a full-time position, 2 percent is deducted in statutory contributions to the State Pension Fund.
