The position is intended for a person with an established and forward-looking research agenda, considerable pedagogical competence, and demonstrated ability to initiate and lead research projects. The new colleague is expected to contribute to and participate in ongoing research and teaching in the group as well as to help further develop our research and teaching portfolio.
Applicants are expected to demonstrate an established and internationally visible research profile in at least one, and preferably several, of the following areas: Participatory Design (PD), Human–Computer Interaction (HCI), and Computer-Supported Cooperative Work (CSCW), evidenced by publications in leading international venues such as the ACM Conference on Human Factors in Computing Systems (CHI), the ACM Conference on Computer-Supported Cooperative Work and Social Computing (CSCW), the EUSSET Conference on Computer-Supported Cooperative Work (ECSCW), the ACM Conference on Designing Interactive Systems (DIS), the ACM Participatory Design Conference (PDC), or comparable high-quality journals and conferences.
Possible thematic foci include, but are not limited to, human-centred approaches to intelligent and AI-enabled systems; practice-centred design, implementation and evaluation of interactive and socio-technical systems; human augmentation technologies; immersive and virtual reality systems; and embodied and tangible prototyping methods for exploring interactive technologies.
The successful candidate is expected to contribute to research and teaching on responsible, human-centred and practice-centred approaches to the design of intelligent interactive systems.
