Studying the Digital innovation and employee behaviour in the service sector

The aim of the proposed PhD project is to empirically explore effects and outcomes of digital innovation on employee behaviour in service organizations. It is a strength if the candidate can utilize methodological tools such as, though not limited to, NVivo, SPSS, Stata, SmartPLS and/or R. Projects that centres around perspectives such as diffusion of innovation, strategy, management, innovations, and theory of planned behaviour, will be prioritized.

Be a part of an inter-disciplinary research environment

The COVID-19 pandemic revealed new threats and opportunities for service delivery in the service industry. One such threat/opportunity was digital innovations that affected the service sector on the international-, national-, business-level. With the rapid shifts and changes in service delivery, employees in the service sector had to change the way services are delivered. Yet, we still know little of the effects and outcomes of digital innovations on employee behaviour in service organizations. The knowledge acquired would offer service organizations, valuable insights, and a springboard into how to cope with rapid change in the service industry, in addition to implications for practice and policy development
