The Institute of Clinical Medicine (Klinmed) is one of three institutes under the Faculty. Klinmed is responsible for the Faculty's educational and research activities at Oslo University Hospital and Akershus University Hospital. With about 800 employees spread over approximately 425 man-labour years, Klinmed is the university's largest institute. Our activities follow the clinical activity at the hospitals and are spread across a number of geographical areas.

The Division of Orthopaedic Surgery at OUH has clinical, research and teaching activity at four locations, Rikshospitalet, Emergency Orthopaedics (Aker), Radiumhospitalet and Ullevål Hospital. The Division’s research activity is organized into 10 different research groups covering a broad range of basic and clinical research with an overall aim to improve patient care with emphasis on diagnostic, therapeutic and preventive measures.The proximity to patients and their medical issues are the cornerstones for the research conducted at the Division and are aimed at improving patient care. High ethical standards ensure the confidentiality, and our goal is to continuously improve diagnostics, treatment and management for all our patients.

About the position

The Division of Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Oslo and at the Oslo University Hospital has teaching, clinical and research activity at four locations, Rikshospitalet, Emergency Orthopaedics (Aker Hospital), The Norwegian Radium Hospital and Ullevål Hospital. The Division teaches all aspects of Orthopaedic surgery for medical students, bedside, outpatient, classroom and in the operating theater. The research activity is organized into 10 different research groups, covering a broad range of basic and clinical research with an overall aim to improve patient care with emphasis on diagnostic, therapeutic and preventive measures.
