NKVTS works for a better life for those affected by violence and trauma. The research center operates on an international level, developing key knowledge of the impact of violence and trauma, as well as societal preparedness and response, on the health, wellbeing, participation and social security of individuals and populations. Through our research efforts, we inform and report on best practices for practitioners and contribute to the academic field of violence and traumatic stress. Our goal is to prevent and mitigate the negative health and social consequences of violence and trauma.
