The Department of Psychology is one of seven units of the Faculty of Social Sciences, and has 75 permanent and 70 temporary members of scientific staff. Degrees are offered at bachelor and master level, plus a clinical training programme, and the PhD programme has 140 students.

Section for Methodology, Work, Culture and Social Psychology (MAKS)
The Department of Psychology has available a full position (100 %) as University Lecturer in Work and Organizational Psychology at the Section for Methodology, Work-, Cultural-, and Social Psychology (MAKS). The appointee will contribute to teaching, supervising and examination activities in the bachelor and master programs. The position requires competence in teaching in work and organizational psychology.
The section covers basic and applied research and teaching for the Bachelor, Master, clinical training program and PhD programs in methods, work and organizational, social, culture and community psychology. The section’s work and organizational psychology unit includes five permanent academic staff and several Ph.D. fellows.
More about the position
The position is a teaching position. Most of the teaching can be delivered in Norwegian or English, while being able to perform supervising and examination activity in Norwegian will be a big advantage. Possibilities for professional development will be facilitated. The appointment may be subject to changes in responsibilities and work tasks that the employer must decide.
The evaluation of the applicants will be based on their educational background, teaching experience diversity, research record, work experience in the field of work and organizational psychology, personal suitability and motivation. Achievements will be weighed against career stage and adjusted for parental leaves.
- Applicants must hold a degree equivalent to a Norwegian Master degree / Clinical study degree in psychology, with documented proficiency in work and organizational psychology or equivalent.
- Applicants must be able to fill in the relevant teaching obligations at the section.
- Documented activity in conducting high-quality research in work and organizational psychology or related fields.
- Applicants must have a fluent proficiency in oral and written English.
- Applicants must be able to work both independently and to cooperate with others and be highly motivated.
- University pedagogy skills and diversity in teaching experiences (forms and levels) would be a great advantage.
- Teaching experience in work and organizational psychology or equivalent is a great advantage.
- Plans and ambitions for conducting high quality teaching activities would be a great advantage.
- Competence in a Scandinavian language would be an advantage.
- A PhD degree in work and organizational psychology or equivalent would be an asset.
- Willingness to participate in the department´s activities in education, research, dissemination, and administration at all levels would be an asset.
