The Green Office is a hub for climate- and environment-oriented activities for students and staff at UiO, located in the Kristian Ottesen’s House. We are 9 part-time employees who runs projects and events that aim to make UiO more sustainable. We initiate and follow up on long-term projects, while at the same time arranging several activities and events.
We organise our work into four categories reflecting UiO's climate and environmental strategy:
- Education and Research (i.e. theme week)
- Dissemination and Dialogue (collaboration with organizations and units)
- Climate and Green Campus (biodiversity, repair, food etc.)
- Organisation (i.e. Green Grants)

About the position
We are looking for a student who are eager to run projects, campaigns, and activities as part of the Climate and Green Campus Group, with a special responsibility for biodiversity.
Project coordinators are given a 20% position for one year at a time, corresponding to 7,5 hours per week.
Together with the rest of the team, you are the voice and face of the Green Office, and are expected to:
- Plan, implementing and evaluate project, events and campaigns that can help us reach our goals for a more sustainable UiO.
- Regular tasks such as team and group meetings and being a host during our open office
- Implementing a biodiversity project on campus
- Abel’s Rooftop garden(planning the garden design, organizing work parties, precultivating, weeding and watering and
- UiO’s seed library (collaborating with the library in organizing and packing the seeds for the seed library)
- Collaborate and support UiO’s Landscape Services’s work on biodiveristy
Personal skills
As a coordinator you are a team player and support your colleagues, but are also able to work independently and implement the project(s) you coordinate.
You have to be enrolled as a student on a UiO study program during the time of employment.
Former work of organizational experience is a plus. You have excellent social skills, but also see the value of strategic planning and documentation of your work.
We offer
A 20% position from August 2025 - June 2026 in a creative, open and safe work environment. You will get the opportunity to test, develop and master old and new skills in the areas of sustainability, leadership and teamwork.
Salary NOK 415 000 - per annum in a 100% position.
