Job description
Applications are invited for a one-year Research support position to provide research and project support to the Sustainability and Design research group at the Department of Informatics at the University of Oslo.
Our research group is at the moment working on two research projects: Futuring Sustainable Nordic Business Models and Circular Energy for a Sustainable Circular Economy. We are a small research group and are looking for a colleague who can provide research support as well as help us to extend the impact of our research.
Your tasks will be as follows:
- Provide research assistance in the form of organising and implementing interviews
- Support us in the analysis of our research data
- Coordinate research activities with our project partners
- Provide support to our academic events, such as a conference and seminars
- Translate our research results into publications that can reach a large audience
We expect our new colleague to be equally comfortable working in a team as being able to work independently. Starting date is January 2021.
Qualification requirements
The Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences has a strategic ambition is to be among Europe’s leading communities for research, education and innovation. Candidates for these fellowships will be selected in accordance with this, and expected to be in the upper segment of their class with respect to academic credentials.
The preferred candidate for this position will fulfill the following criteria:
- A Master’s degree.
- Proven experience in sustainability-related research
- Excellent English skills, orally and in writing, are required. Proficiency in Norwegian or another Scandinavian language is desirable.
- The following qualifications will be considered as an advantage: experience in communicating sustainability, experience in visual design, experience in website and social media work.
