About the project/work tasks:

The research group ‘Evolution of nutrient and growth homeostasis in animals’ is interested in understanding how animal growth is regulated by feeding using the sea anemone Nematostella vectensis as research organism. A major focus of the lab is to identify and study stem and progenitor cell populations in the sea anemone Nematostella vectensis. We have generated a single-cell dataset and transgenic knock-in reporter lines to identify stem cells in the sea anemone Nematostella. The successful candidate will analyse the mutant phenotype using existing transgenic lines and perform spatial expression analysis to validate the singe-cell dataset. In addition, the candidate will lead the manuscript writing on these two projects together with the group leader.
