 The Institute of Clinical Medicine (Klinmed) is one of three institutes under the Faculty. Klinmed is responsible for the Faculty's educational and research activities at Oslo University Hospital and Akershus University Hospital. With about 800 employees spread over approximately 425 man-labour years, Klinmed is the university's largest institute. Our activities follow the clinical activity at the hospitals and are spread across a number of geographical areas.

Diakonhjemmet Hospital is the local hospital for approx. 145,000 inhabitants in the Ullern, Frogner, and, Vestre Aker districts in Oslo. Our hospital provides health care in internal medicine, general surgery, orthopedics, and psychiatry. The hospital also has special expanded functions in rheumatology, rheumatic surgery, and psychopharmacology. The adult psychiatric department is located at Vinderen. Diakonhjemmet Hospital is a non-profit limited company owned by Diakonhjemmet Stiftelse, which is a diaconal foundation within the Church of Norway. The hospital has close collaboration with the University of Oslo and VID Specialized University and hosts significant research and education of health personnel.

We have a vacant position as Professor II/ Associate Professor (20 % position) in Medicine (Psychiatry) at Institute of Clinical Medicine. The position is combined with a full time position as Senior Physician at Division of Mental Health and Addiction, Diakonhjemmet Hospital.
