About the position
The USN School of Business has vacancies for two positions as Postdoctoral Fellow in Marketing Management and/or Management from the autumn 2019 (second announcement). The appointment is for a term of 2 years with extension possibilities.
The appointees will be associated with the Department of Business, Strategy and Political Sciences, and will report to the Head of Department. The place of employment agreed furter, but it will be at one of The USN School of Business campus, Norway.
The research aim of the USN School of Business is to produce high-level research suitable for publication in leading academic journals (AJG 4) that address research issues important to business practice for tomorrow’s marketplaces. The School has a new research programme (2018-2021) entitled “Managing sustainable innovation through co-creation, tomorrow’s marketplaces and organisations to achieve measurable social, environmental and financial outcomes”.

Researchers into autonomous systems and devices are also encouraged to apply, as we cooperate extensively with leading global industry clusters. Applicants working in areas related to this research programme or autonomous systems are preferred, and will be part of this commitment.
The appointment is for a term of 2 years with extension possibilities, and the teaching load is 20% per year, equivalent to approximately one full course per year. The appointee may be assigned teaching at all levels of the Faculty’s programmes, including our PhD programme in Marketing Management. The appointee may also be assigned teaching in other departments of the University of South-Eastern Norway.
Qualifications
Applicants must have a Norwegian doctorate or equivalent education abroad in Marketing or Management. The applicant must have gained the degree within the application deadline, and should provide proof of outstanding research productivity and a good level of teaching ability
The faculty members work in research tems and groups, and candidates must be motivated to share their knowledge and to cooperate. This also includes co‑publication. Personal suitability for the position will be emphasised. The successful applicant is expected to be actively engaged in marketing and/or management, and to contribute to the development of national and international networks.

Salary
The position as postdoctoral fellow (‘postdoktor’) (Code 1352) is allocated to Levels 59-72 on the state salary scale a year (515.200 - 658.300 kroner). Salary placement depending on seniority. In special cases, higher salary may be considered. A statutory contribution will be made from the employee’s salary to the state pension plan.
Additional information
The Academic Appointments Board is responsible for appointments to academic positions at the University of South-Eastern Norway. Applicants will undergo expert assessment. Shortlisted candidates will be called for interviews, and must be prepared to present and discuss their projects.
