The Institute of Energy Technology (IFE) is an independent research foundation in Norway, with locations in Kjeller and Halden. We are an internationally leading research environment that actively develops innovative solutions through people and technology. We operate under the mission 'Research for a better future'. IFE is a broad interdisciplinary research organization with top-level international expertise in digital technologies, material and process technology, flow and analysis technology, environmental technology, radiopharmaceutical technology and nuclear technology and safety.
We are looking for a motivated Business Developer to expand and support our R&D and services in applied nuclear science.
The core competencies of IFE are within the broad nuclear research field. Our research activities and industrial services include radionuclide and radiotracer development for industrial and medical applications, reactor modeling and system analysis, radiation analytical services, radiation protection counselling and courses, environmental radionuclide monitoring, and nuclear back-end activities. The business developer will be instrumental in developing and supporting our research activities and project portfolio in industrial and medical radionuclide/radiotracer and environmental radionuclide monitoring.
IFE’s strategic goal is to be the leading institution in Norway within the aforementioned areas. We aim to be the preferred partner and the national hub for nuclear infrastructure and competence. IFE has also as strategic goal to be the leading international actor within sustainable minerals and metals.
Division Energy is planning to build a new laboratory building at the Kjeller campus. The building will host state-of-the-art open-source radioactivity laboratories (A-, B- and C-laboratories), a laboratory dedicated to development of industrial radioactive control sources and a suitable laboratory to host the next generation neutron-generators.
The research area of Environmental Technology consists of the following three departments: Tracer Technology, Environmental Safety and Radiation Protection, and Environmentally friendly industrial processes.
IFEs is a proud partner together with the University of Oslo (UiO) and the Norwegian University of Life Sciences (NMBU) of the Norwegian Nuclear Research Center (NNRC), which is the largest national initiative to increase Norway’s competence within nuclear chemistry and physics, and we are leading the thematic area of radionuclide production and speciation. IFE is also hosting the national infrastructure project Competence Hub for Neutron Technology (HUNT), which is establishing a first-generation neutron source in Norway. We are strongly involved in national and international research projects within sustainable critical raw materials. Additionally, IFE is providing radioactivity assessment services to Norwegian and international partners. Moreover, IFE participates and often leads national, EU research projects and industrial projects in the aforementioned areas.
