BI Norwegian Business School, Department of Leadership and Organisational Behaviour, has two vacancies for associate professors in organisational psychology/organisational behaviour. The positions will be associated with the organisational psychology academic group.

The positions require a Norwegian doctoral degree or equivalent within the field. Successful applicants should primarily conduct research and possess expertise within relevant organisational psychology issues, for example linked to motivation, leadership, working environment, learning, development, individual differences, how groups function, selection and counseling services. We are primarily seeking candidates with quantitative expertise. The position requires that the applicants have international publication experience within these subject areas. Relevant candidates must have completed independent research and publication in international journals also after completing their doctoral degree. Other advisory services or communication activity, research management and contributions to research projects may also be taken into consideration. Other factors that will be taken into account include potential administrative experience, management expertise and business know-how.

The department and the academic group offer education within organisational psychology and leadership at the bachelor, master (Master of Science, Executive Master of Management) and doctoral levels. Successful applicants must expect teaching tasks, primarily in the school’s bachelor programme, but teaching and guidance at the master level may also be relevant. BI is looking for skilled people who can communicate knowledge and research results to our students. Candidates must be proficient in both written and spoken English.

BI wants to reinforce its international profile, and foreign candidates are encouraged to apply. Successful candidates will be expected to learn the Norwegian language within two to three years. Women are particularly encouraged to apply.

Qualifications will be evaluated according to the usual rules for academic positions at universities and specialised university institutions. The position offers membership in the Norwegian Public Service Pension Fund.
