Norway entered the European Infrastructure for Translational Medicine (EATRIS) as a full member in 2016. The Norwegian EATRIS node consists of the University of Oslo, University of Bergen, Norwegian University of Science and Technology, UiT The Arctic University of Norway and the four Regional Health Authorities in Southeastern, Western, Central and Northern Norway as well as associated university hospitals in each region. The EATRIS consortium provides cutting edge infrastructure and expertise along the entire translational value chain in a ‘One-Stop Shop’, providing a new development pathway open to researchers and companies in need of support for advancing biomedical innovations. EATRIS comprises over 80 leading academic institutions across 13 European countries and provides a great resource for building consortia for competitive applications to Horizon 2020 and other EU-funding programmes.

The Norwegian participation in EATRIS is coordinated by Centre for Molecular Medicine Norway (NCMM) and NCMM is responsible for the administrative tasks of the national infrastructure. The overall objective of NCMM is to conduct cutting edge research in molecular medicine and facilitate translation of discoveries in basic medical research into clinical practice.

NCMM and the Norwegian EATRIS node now have an open position as EATRIS Coordinator funded for 2019. We are inviting for applications to the position of:

Importantly, a significant part of the work should also focus directly on funding strategies versus the EU and to increase participation in and leadership of project partnerships that are formed through EATRIS.
