The Department of Pharmacy has 130 employees. We have an active research and innovation environment based on independent research in pharmaceutical topics. The Department of Pharmacy is responsible for the popular master's degree program in pharmacy and has 350 competent and committed students.


Pharmaceutical related research and education forms the base of all activities at the Department of Pharmacy. The science of pharmacy lies in the interface between the natural sciences, pharmaceutical technology, health related topics and social sciences. This interdisciplinarity is reflected both in our study programmes and in our research.

A temporary position as a research support coordinator (advisor) is available at Norsk Forskerskole i Farmasi (NFIF), at University of Oslo (UiO) from September 2019 until December 31, 2020.

Jobb description

Work tasks encompass research administrative support for NFIF and NFIF members. The tasks and responsibilities are related to grant application processes and reporting (with regards to NFR, EU and others); initiating and drafting grant application; contract drafting; retaining overview of potential sources for funding.

Responsibilities

  • Draft applications for external funding, together with NFIF and NFIF members
  • Support research groups in their work with Responsible Research and Innovation (RRI)
  • Arrange activities that will lead to research applications as well as contribute to enhance the quality of the applications (workshops, seminars for writing, etc.)
  • Convey information about relevant mobility scholarships
  • Responsible for following up contract negotiations for externally funded projects in collaboration with the Head of Department and the UiO legal department

Qualification requirements

Required qualifications:

  • Minimum Bachelor degree. Relevant work experience may compensate for the education requirement
  • Extensive experience from administrative research support from the university sector or the research institute sector is required
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both oral and written

Desired qualifications:

  • Extensive experience from writing research applications is preferable
  • Good knowledge of RRI (Responsible Research and Innovation)
  • Good overview and knowledge of research founding from Forskningsrådet (NFR), EU, industry and other possible sources for founding
  • Good knowledge of the university sector

Personal skills

  • Excellent collaboration skills and the ability to work as part of a team
  • Self-motivated, organized and able to prioritize and handle multiple tasks at once
  • Professional ethics
