The Institute of Clinical Medicine (Klinmed) is one of three institutes under the Faculty. Our activities follow the clinical activity at the hospitals and are spread across a number of geographical areas.

Applicants are invited for a two year position as Postdoctoral Fellow (position code 1352) in immunology/tumor immunology to be based at the Department of immunology, Division of Laboratory Medicine, Institute of Clinical Medicine, University of Oslo.
More about the position
The position is located in The Bogen group, headed by Professor Bjarne Bogen. The Bogen group is involved in tumor immunology. In particular, the group studies how T cells kill multiple myeloma and B lymphoma cells. For a recent review, see https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/24782871. The long-term aim of the present project is to develop cancer specific (neoepitope-specific) vaccines for patients with multiple myeloma. Much of the work in the first 2-3 years will be done in an experimental mouse model for multiple myeloma. Preparations will be done for extension to patients in follow-up projects.
The main purpose of the fellowship is to qualify researchers for work in higher academic positions within their disciplines.
Qualification requirements
- Applicants must hold a degree equivalent to a Norwegian doctoral degree in immunology, tumor immunology, cancer biology, molecular biology, cell biology or related fields.
- Qualifications in molecular biology, sequencing and bioinformatics, molecular immunology, cellular biology, flow cytometry and cell culture will be weighted.
- Qualifications in vivo experiments in mice will be weighted.
- Fluent oral and written communication skills in English.
