Research assistant
There is a vacancy for a research assistant at the System Dynamics Group, Department of Geography, University of Bergen. The position is fulltime for a fixed-term period of 5 months. Total employment as a research assistant cannot exceed two years.
Research assistant is a recruitment position where the main task is to be a supporting entity to the academic staff in their instructional and research endeavors. The position will provide the opportunity to gain insight into scientific work and methodology.
Job description:
Teaching assistance in GEO-SD304.
Teaching support in several other GEO-SD courses.
Administration and grading of exams in several GEO-SD courses.
Development of interactive learning environments and massive open online courses (MOOCs).
Design, facilitation, evaluation and analysis of group model building workshops (in person and online).
Requirements and personal characteristics:
The applicant must hold a master’s degree in System Dynamics. The master’s degree must have been completed by the application deadline
The requirements are generally a grade B or better on the Master thesis and for the master’s degree in total
Applicants must have experience with teaching assistance in multiple System Dynamics courses
Applicants must have experience with the design of interactive learning environments
Applicants must have experience in developing MOOCs on the Canvas platform
Applicants must have experience with online and in-person group model building
Proficiency in both written and oral English
Good administrative IT-competence
Result oriented and ability to work systematically
Good cooperation and communication skills
