The Institute of Clinical Medicine
(Klinmed) is one of three institutes under the Faculty. Klinmed is responsible for the Faculty's educational and research activities at Oslo University Hospital and Akershus University Hospital. With about 800 employees spread over approximately 425 man-labour years, Klinmed is the university's largest institute. Our activities follow the clinical activity at the hospitals and are spread across a number of geographical areas.

Job description

Applicants are invited for a three year full time position as Postdoctoral Fellow (position code 1352) in immunology, based at the Department of immunology and transfusion medicine, University of Oslo.

More about the position

The research aim for the position is vaccine development tailored for different groups in the population. There are large knowledge gaps with respect to how individual variation influences formation of efficient immunity, and we will here examine these in the context of influenza and SARS-CoV-2.

The appointment is a fulltime position for a period of up to three years.

The main purpose of the fellowship is to qualify researchers for work in higher academic positions within their disciplines.

Qualification requirements

  • Applicants must hold a degree equivalent to a Norwegian doctoral degree in immunology or similar.
  • Fluent oral and written communication skills in English.
  • Experience with experimental immunology and mouse models will be beneficial.

It is expected that the successful candidate will be able to complete the project in the course of the period of employment.
