Applicants are invited for a 2 year and six months full time position as Postdoctoral Fellow (position code 1352) in bioinformatic analysis of immunological studies to be based at the Department of Immunology, Institute of Clinical Medicine, University of Oslo.

More about the position

The appointment is a fulltime position and for a period of up to two years and six months.

The successful applicant will work in an interactive multidisciplinary centre of scientists, in a strong academic environment, focusing on immune dysregulation in celiac disease and other autoimmune diseases.

The successful candidate for this position will work in close collaboration with the head of the group, Associate Professor Qiao. The main research focus of the group is molecular analysis of T cells on the single-cell level. The group uses cutting-edge technology within molecular biology, modern high-throughput sequencing and bioinformatics. The project studies the transcriptional profile of antigen-specific T cells relevant for human diseases, and link that with the T-cell receptor information on the single-cell level.

The main purpose of the fellowship is to qualify researchers for work in higher academic positions within their disciplines.

Qualification requirements

• Applicants must hold a degree equivalent to a Norwegian doctoral degree (PhD) in immunology or bioinformatics.
• The candidate must have thorough understanding of data analysis of high-throughput sequencing data.
• The candidate must have relevant background in data analysis of single-cell transcriptomics and immune receptor sequencing.
• It is preferably that the candidate has knowledge in molecular biology and / or immunology.
• Fluent oral and written communication skills in English.
