We are now recruiting part-time interns for approximately 25 projects in the fields of ICT research, to work together with motivated international researchers.

Project: Develop a system for delegating and sequencing tasks for crisis management

Based on a recent masters thesis you will develop a front-end for specifying tasks and their dependencies. The front-end will communicate with a back-end using Answer Set Programming to compute the optimal delegation and sequencing of tasks using machine reasoning.

  • Number of positions available: 1 intern
  • Workplace: Simula Research Laboratory (downtown Oslo, Pilestredet 52). Possibilities to work remotely can be discussed with the supervisor.
  • Work duration: The duration and weekly hours for the internship will be decided together with the supervisor.

We are looking for students that:

  • Are currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in mathematics or informatics, or other specializations in technology
  • Have good up-to-date programming skills in front-end development
  • Interested in exploring programming paradigms in which you are not familiar (declarative programming).
  • Are curious and interested in research, and enjoy working on challenging problems
  • Have strong academic results
  • Are proficient in Norwegian or English (both spoken and written)
  • Are allowed to work in Norway, due to practicalities related to short-term employment
