LEDIG STILLING VED SIMULA

Internship at Simula - 2022: DeepSynthBody - website

Deadline: 02.09.2022

Simula Research Laboratory AS

Simula is a publicly-owned ICT research lab. Simula’s main objective is to reach new levels of understanding and to create vital knowledge about fundamental scientific challenges that are of genuine value to society.

We are now recruiting part-time interns for approximately 25 projects in the fields of ICT research, to work together with motivated international researchers.

For information about these opportunities, including the other available projects, please visit here.

Project: DeepSynthBody - website

DeepSynthBody is a framework initiated to generate synthetic data to solve the data deficiency problem in the medical domain. The main objective of this framework is to introduce a common platform to publish medical-related deep generative models and use them to generate synthetic data when researchers or other end users need them. (See publication.)

We are developing a website for DeepSynthBody at https://deepsynthbody.org/. For now, the website consists of primary content using simple GitHub pages. However, our original plan is to build a good website for DeepSynthBody using a proper framework. Updating the site should be straightforward. For example, updating a GitHub markdown file should update the website's content.

We want to implement the following functionalities in here.

  1. Add new information about new functionalities of DeepSynthBody (about new GAN architectures which can generate medical data) to the website using GitHub markdown language.
  2. Update documentation of new functionalities.
  3. Structure the whole website to represent the flow of DeepSynthBody to end-users, namely GAN developers and the users who need synthetic data.
