LEDIG STILLING VED SIMULA

Internship at Simula - 2022: Database Management (PmSys)

Deadline: 02.09.2022

Simula Research Laboratory AS

Simula is a publicly-owned ICT research lab. Our main objective is to reach new levels of understanding and to create vital knowledge about fundamental scientific challenges that are of genuine value to society.

We are now recruiting part-time interns for approximately 25 projects in the fields of ICT research, to work together with motivated international researchers.

For information about these opportunities, including the other available projects, please visit here.

Project: Database Management (PmSys)

We are working with a dataset comprising various health and athlete training metrics, collected from multiple soccer teams over multiple years. We would like to set up a SQL database to facilitate the automated analysis of this data. The project tasks include setting up an accurate and efficient DB schema, populating the tables with existing raw data, establishing user and connection settings (SSH tunneling, etc.), and implementing a user-friendly solution for executing high-level queries ("view"s). Integration with a Python notebook/dashboard would be very useful.
