Consultant

The Faculty of Medicine is looking for 5 motivated persons in the field of visual media for temporary positions. These persons will secure administrative and technical support to the congress from 1 June/August to 2 October 2021.You will be working with the administrative staff responsible for organising the congress and with the other persons. Through your work you will be in contact with international researchers from around the world.

European Congress on Tropical Medicine and International Health (ECTMIH)University of Bergen (UiB) is proud to host the 12th European Congress on Tropical Medicine and International Health (ECTMIH 2021) virtually from Bergen, Norway 28 September to 1 October 2021. Workplace will be Bergen.

Work tasks

  • Create pre-recorded video presentations with presenters using vMix or similar software
  • Contact presenters to set up recording sessions
  • Quality-assure the incoming recordings
  • Technical and social media assistance before and during the conference

You should expect varied working hours, with an increase of hours during the main timeframe for recording videos with presenters. The main timeframe is from August to September. The working hours will be during the day and evening. You need to be flexible and available during the congress.

Qualifications and characteristics:

To apply, you must be;

  • Proficient in creating videos
  • Experience with PowerPoint and Excel
  • Fluent in English, both oral and written
  • Available to work in August and September 2021

We are looking for persons who:

  • Are interested in creating video presentations
  • Have good communication skills
  • Are flexible
  • Are independent and self-driven
  • Work well with others

When assessing the applicants, we will place great emphasis on the qualifications listed for the position.

  • The position is the hourly based (including training) as a consultant (code 0389) in salary level 35 on the government salary scale; at present NOK 186 pr. hour
  • Estimated 50 hours
