BI Norwegian Business School (BI), Department of Strategy and Entrepreneurship, is seeking applications for an Assistant Professor in Strategy, Innovation or Entrepreneurship, preferably with relevance to Digital Business. This is a tenure track position, 4 years, followed up with an academic evaluation process based on set criteria for publications and teaching.

We are looking for a candidate with strong research capabilities, and a promising research pipeline in for example on topics related to how digitalization affects business models, organizations, ecosystems, or firm actions and behavior. The ideal candidate should have an ambition to advance the field with publications in top international journals. The candidate should demonstrate, at the minimum, the potential for solid teaching skills.

BI Norwegian Business School’s (BI) foundation is to be research-based, connected and learning oriented in order to both offer relevant programmes for our students, and provide a motivating research environment for our faculty.

The school has eight research departments covering all business school-related disciplines. It offers a wide range of programs in, for example, Finance, Economics, Strategic Management, Entrepreneurship, Marketing and Organizational Behavior, at the BA, MSc, EMBA, PhD, and Executive levels. About the Department

The Department of Strategy and Entrepreneurship is innovative and dynamic, with the ambition to increase its impact both nationally and internationally. Active research areas include Value Creation Models, Technology Strategy, International Business, Entrepreneurship, Innovation Systems, Global Innovation Networks, Inter-organizational Relations, Organization Design, Strategic Leadership, Networks, Knowledge-based Strategy and Competitiveness. The Department of Strategy and Entrepreneurship holds a strong position within the school’s research areas, and is one of the most productive departments in terms of academic contributions within relevant topics.

The Department is responsible for courses at all levels (Bachelor, Master of Science, MBA, PhD and Executive Programs) in Norway and abroad in the fields of Strategy, Entrepreneurship and Innovation and as such offers teaching responsibilities at all levels. The school offers attractive opportunities in corporate teaching and managerial development. The Department is currently home to about 35 full-time academic faculty and 13 PhD students.
